The Independence Day celebration at Mahatma Junior College of Education (MJCE) was held on 15th August 2026 together with all the institutions of MES Chembur Campus,with great pride, enthusiasm, and patriotic spirit. The programme began with the flag-hoisting ceremony by our Chief Guest, Dr. Meera Ranjith, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. This solemn moment filled the gathering with immense respect for our nation and the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
While addressing the gathering Dr. Meera Ranjith highlighted the significance of Independence Day and reminded the students that true freedom comes with responsibility. She urged them to become responsible citizens and contribute towards building a strong, united, progressive, and self-reliant India.
The celebration was marked with patriotic programmes presented by the students reflecting their love for the nation and appreciation of India’s rich heritage and diversity. Ms. Ananya More of S.Y.D.El.Ed delivered a speech in Hindi reminiscing about the valour and sacrifice of all heroes who fought till their last breath to secure us a life with dignity and self-respect. Threw.The event concluded with a renewed commitment to uphold the values of freedom, unity, integrity, and national service.
The celebration was a memorable occasion that truly reflected the spirit of “Pride in our Past, Responsibility in the Present, and Hope for a Progressive India.”
