The D.El.Ed students of Mahatma Junior college of Education went on an educational visit to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalayaas part of their experiential learning programme. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of history, art, and culture through real-life exposure beyond classroom learning.
During the visit, students explored various galleries displaying ancient sculptures, paintings, artifacts, and exhibits from India’s rich cultural heritage. They observed sections on natural history, archaeology, and decorative arts, gaining insights into India’s glorious past and diverse traditions.
The visit proved to be informative and enriching, as it helped the trainee teachers understand the importance of field experiences in making learning more meaningful and engaging. It also encouraged them to adopt activity-based approaches in their future classrooms.
