Students of Mahatma Junior College of Education embarked on an enriching educational trip to the Nehru Science Centre, Worli, Mumbai on 5th August 2026. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for experiential and hands-on learning, allowing students to explore various scientific concepts beyond the classroom. The students explored several fascinating galleries and participated in interactive activities. At the Hall of Aviation, they gained basic insights into aviation through experimental demonstrations, models, and displays. The Sound and Light section introduced them to interesting experiments related to sound and light energy, helping them connect their classroom learning with practical experiences.
The students also explored the Sound Room, where they experienced different instruments and listened to a variety of sounds, stimulating their sensory and visual curiosity. A particularly exciting part of the visit was the Prehistoric Life section, where students were fascinated by realistic replicas of sabre-toothed tigers, dinosaurs, mammoths, giant squid, and other prehistoric creatures. These exhibits helped them develop a deeper understanding of ancient life and the evolution of living organisms. Overall, the visit to the Nehru Science Centre was a memorable day of scientific exploration, discovery, and experiential learning. The interactive exhibits and educational shows not only enhanced the students’ understanding of science but also inspired them to observe, question, explore, and appreciate the wonders of the scientific world.
