The Mahatma Junior College of Education celebrated Guru Purnima on 1st August, 2026 with great enthusiasm and reverence, honouring the invaluable contribution of teachers and their significant role in shaping the lives of their students.

The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by a brief address by Ananya More, who highlighted the significance of Guru Purnima and the importance of the teacher–student relationship. The celebrations continued with a graceful dance performance by the students on a song dedicated to teachers. A thought-provoking skit portraying the challenges faced by teachers in contemporary times was also presented, highlighting their dedication, resilience, and commitment to the teaching profession.

Adding to the spirit of gratitude and appreciation, Fiza Pathan presented a heartfelt poem expressing thankfulness towards teachers, while Shalu Tiwari enthralled the audience with a melodious song.The programme concluded with insightful speeches by the faculty members, who shared their thoughts on the significance of Guru Purnima and reflected on the timeless bond between the Guru and the disciple.

The celebration was a meaningful tribute to teachers and served as a reminder of the profound impact of a Guru in guiding, inspiring, and empowering future generations.
