Adolescence Health and Hygiene Awareness Programme was organised on 17th January, 2026 at Mahatma Junior College of Education with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of physical, mental, and reproductive health among women.
The programme focused on essential aspects such as personal hygiene, menstrual health management, balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and preventive healthcare. Students were sensitized to the importance of adopting healthy habits and maintaining cleanliness for overall well-being. Emphasis was also laid on addressing common health issues faced by women and breaking social taboos related to women’s health.
The session encouraged active interaction, allowing students to clarify doubts and gain practical knowledge that can be applied in daily life as well as in their future role as teachers. The programme helped promote self-care, confidence, and informed decision-making among the participants.
