A Workshop on “The Joys of Teaching” was organized for the D.El.Ed students to highlight the creative and meaningful aspects of the teaching profession. The session aimed to help future teachers understand that teaching is not only about delivering lessons, but also about engaging students through joyful learning experiences.
The resource person emphasized the importance of using teaching aids to make classroom learning more effective, interactive, and enjoyable. Students were introduced to various types of teaching aids such as charts, flashcards, models, puppets, and digital tools, which enhance understanding and retention among learners. The participants also got hands-on experience in designing and presenting innovative teaching aids suited for different subjects and grade levels.
The workshop encouraged the D.El.Ed students to become creative, resourceful, and reflective teachers who can bring joy and curiosity into their classrooms. It was an enriching experience that inspired them to view teaching as both an art and a noble responsibility.
