On 13th January, 2025 MJCE celebrated Makar Sankranti and Pongal. Students prepared various traditional food items from Maharashtra, including tilgul ladoos. They also decorated the classroom with colorful kites of different sizes, adding to the festive spirit. Teachers and students came together to share and enjoy the meal. We also celebrated Pongal, the festival of Tamil Nadu. Students built their own cooking grates on the college premises, gathered dry branches, and prepared Pongal. The freshly cooked rice was truly mouth-watering. Students explained the geographical significance of 14th January.
The primary aim of education is to expose students to diverse cultures. By celebrating these festivals, students were introduced to Maharashtrian culture. Our college organizes various festival celebrations to enhance awareness of their geographical importance.
