The students of Mahatma Junior College of Education visited the National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicapped (NASEOH), Mumbai, as part of their practical exposure to inclusive education and community engagement. The visit aimed to help student-teachers understand the diverse needs, abilities, and challenges of persons with disabilities.
During the visit, the students interacted with the staff and beneficiaries, observed various vocational training units, skill-development programmes, and assistive support systems offered by the organization. The experience helped the future teachers deepen their understanding of inclusivity, empathy, and the importance of creating accessible learning environments.
This educational exposure encouraged the D.Ed students to reflect on their role as compassionate educators who can contribute to promoting equal opportunities and fostering an inclusive society.
