Writing and essay is important as it allows students to express their feelings, thoughts and opinions about the world around them. Writing essays demonstrates a student’s knowledge of various subjects and disciplines such as History, Science, Mathematics, Literature, Art and so on. To inculcate the art of writing an essay. Mahatma Junior College of Education conducted an essay writing competition on 11th November, 2022 as this day is observed as National Education day. The topics for the competition were Education and Innovation: Towards a better India”. Education for social and Economic development of India, Literacy and Education for women empowerment. The competition was judge by Ms. Jayshree Ma’am and the winners were as follows. First prize was awarded to Ms. Zeba Shaikh, second prize was awarded to Ms. Rucha and third prize to Ms. Isha Gorse and Ms. Mahavaishnavi.
