The Student Council Election was held at Mahatma Junior College of Education on 12th August, 2024 for second year DEl.Ed and on 21st August, 2024 for first Year DEl.Ed. The objective of appointing the Student Council is to provide a platform for students to develop their leadership qualities. The Student Council serves as the voice of the student body, facilitating the sharing of ideas, interests, and concerns within the college community.
During the preliminary round, students interested in standing for elections were invited to submit their nominations for various positions. like class representative, Visits, Sports, Internship, Cultural etc. Thirteen students from Second Year and Eight students from First year DEl.Ed were shortlisted for the positions, where candidates for various positions presented their manifestos in speeches and created attractive posters to persuade students to vote for them.
The final stage of the process involved students casting their votes. This electoral process provided students with the opportunity to witness and exercise their fundamental right to vote. The polling process was democratic and anonymous, with students exercising their franchise by selecting their preferred candidates through voting system
